Geosynthetic Clay Liner is another type of material which can be used in lining projects. It can be applied as barriers in landfills, stockyard, canals, reservoir, or vertical barriers. Installation of GCL is relatively easy and requires no electricity making it the ideal choice for projects where there are flammable materials. Installation can be done in dry or wet and the joining of panels are done with bentonite paste.
